Refosco and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes:
a blend exalted
by the oak notes,
an explosion of fruit
and spices.

Stajnbech Rosso IGT

Colour: deep ruby red with intense purplish tinges.
Bouquet: vinous, lingering, with blackberry, morello cherry, vanilla and spicy notes.
Taste: dry, full, harmonious, well-structured, with chocolate and red fruit notes and an elegant oak aftertaste.

Wine area: IGT Veneto Orientale (Eastern Veneto).
Grapes: 70% Refosco dal peduncolo rosso and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vineyard: Belfiore/site of Pizzo.
Soil: clayey-calcareous.
Vine density: 4200 plants per hectare.
Training system: Guyot.
Harvest time: first 10 days of October.
Vinification: fermentation with maceration of the skins in the must for 12-15 days, controlled temperature at 25-30°C.
Ageing: in French oak barrels for at least 15 months and a further 6 months in the bottle.
Alcohol content: 13,5% vol.
Total acidity: 5 g/l.

Gastronomic matches: it is a dry wine excellent with meat roasts, boar, venison or aged cheeses. It should be served at 20°C uncorking the bottle some hours before tasting.
