Historical vine, it is
the most typical expression
of the Venetian and Friulian
wine area.

Refosco d.p.r. DOC

Colour: deep ruby red with purplish tinges.
Bouquet: vinous, characteristic and fruity, it recalls the wild blackberry, the raspberry and the wild berries.
Taste: typical, slightly tannic, full-bodied, with a lingering aftertaste of berry fruit and a balanced acidity.

Wine area: DOC Lison Pramaggiore.
Grapes: 100% Refosco dal peduncolo rosso.
Vineyard: Belfiore/site of Pizzo.
Soil: clayey-calcareous.
Vine density: 4200 plants per hectare.
Training system: double arched cane.
Harvest time: end of September/beginning of October.
Vinification: traditional maceration of the skins for 10-14 days, controlled temperature at 24-27°C in steel tanks.
Ageing: 5 months in steel tanks on the yeasts and 2 months in the bottle.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Total acidity: 5,5 g./l.

Gastronomic matches: ideal with fat meats, roasted meats and game. It should be served at 18° C uncorking the bottle some hours before tasting.
